4.1 Signing in

Open https://ada.example.com:9443/ada/.

  • Local accounts and Active Directory accounts (over LDAPS) can sign in. There is no single sign-on.
  • An optional sign-in notice is shown before the form; the user must click OK first (section 6.8).
  • Repeated failures lock the user name for that client for a while (default 5 attempts, 15 minutes).
  • Sessions end after 12 hours by default; an idle timeout and a limit on concurrent sessions can be added (section 6.8).
  • The first sign-in with the generated admin password forces a password change (section 7.4).
