16. Status, System and Backup
Service health, server logs, backup and restore, and adactl operations.
This chapter covers the server-side administration pages —
Administration → Status, Administration →
System and Administration → Backup — and the
command-line operations on the server host: adactl,
upgrades and rollback, support bundles, the host watchdog and host
hardening.

| Backup | Export/import configuration, take/restore full backups, schedule encrypted backups. |
In this topic
- 16.1 Status
Administration → Status is a live view of the server. It refreshes every 5 seconds while visible (the server recomputes the status at most once every 5 seconds, shared by all open consoles).
- 16.2 System
Administration → System answers “is anything wrong on the server, since when, and why?” and shows the logs. Administrator role only.
- 16.3 Backup — concepts
Administration → Backup has three sub-tabs: Configuration , Full backup and Scheduled backups . The last sub-tab you used is remembered.
- 16.4 Configuration and
Full backup sub-tabs
Administration → Backup → Configuration , left card.
- 16.5 Scheduled backups
Administration → Backup → Scheduled backups writes encrypted backups to the data volume ( backups/ directory) on a schedule.
- 16.6 Server operations
adactl is the operations tool installed on the server ( /usr/local/sbin/adactl , installation directory /opt/ada-classification by default). Run it with sudo . Every command accepts --help .
