7.5 Sign-in reference
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| AD enabled, AD user with a role, correct password | Signed in as Administrator or Auditor (user name = UPN). |
| AD user authenticated but in neither role list | Your account is not authorized for the Ada console. |
| Wrong password (AD or local) | Invalid username or password. Counts towards lock-out. |
| Too many failures for this user name from this address | Too many failed attempts. Try again in N minutes. |
| DC unreachable, AD-only user | Invalid username or password. Active Directory could not be reached, so directory accounts cannot sign in right now. Not counted towards lock-out. |
| DC unreachable, local account | Signs in (break-glass). |
| DC reachable, local account, Local password sign-in = Only when Active Directory is unreachable | Refused: Local accounts can sign in only while Active Directory is unreachable — sign in with your directory account. |
| Address outside Console access → Allowed networks | Sign-in is not allowed from this network. |
| No valid licence | Signed in, but the console is locked to Settings → License. |
When AD is enabled, Ada tries the directory first and falls back to the local account of the same name. If a sign-in notice is enabled, users must click OK on it before the form appears.
